Too much of a woman?

I've always been a 'curvy' woman - well, I have plenty of T&A and it's become even more plentiful since I had my two children! The other day I wanted to wear my LBD for a meeting. It's quite a conservative dress and doesn't show much of anything but it does follow the contours of my body so I wanted to streamline the bumps over the old hip area! My hips have taken to thinking they are a shelf as the toddler wants to ride on them all day, so they have beefed up accordingly!

I got out this new piece of 'shapewear' that I'd bought and never tried. Notice how it's sold as 'shapewear' now - didn't it used to be called a 'girdle'!! Well I got out the shapewear but as I tried to get it on, I had to admit defeat! It was the equivalent of a full workout getting it on and once it was around my upper chest I could hardly breathe! It felt like punishment to even think of getting it down over my boobs, so I gave up! So i've decided to ditch the shapewear and celebrate my lovely curves. Yeah, they are perhaps bigger than I want them to be right now but I've had 2 children for goodness sake! My body grew them, released them and fed them when they were infants. It continues to nurture them ever day as I throw my arms around them both and pull them close. They love to snuggle up to mummy because I'm so comfy! So bring on the curves!

All you curvy gals out there, let's applaud our wobbly bits rather than moan about them. Tell me, what is YOUR best bit?!

Be careful what you wish for!!

I had a hilarious week with the kids, my daughter never fails to entertain me with her questions and theories and my toddler son just makes me laugh! At bath-time this week I had an opportunity to teach my daughter a valuable life lesson, as I'm always observant with things that happen when we're together so I can pass on some wisdom (well, I hope it is anyway!)

The popular saying, "Be careful what you wish for" came into my head this week. My kids and I were in the bath, we love a shared bath and I know that it won't be too many years until they no longer want to bathe with mum so I love all getting in together (fortunately we have a big bath!) I was washing my hair and when it came time to rinse out the conditioner, I hopped out of the bath and into the shower. My daughter said "That's not fair! I want a shower too!" so I explained that I was only in there to rinse my hair and that I was getting out of the bath anyway.

A few minutes later as I was getting ready in the bedroom, I heard "Eeeewwww" and the kids started screaming! My husband was in the bathroom with them and he started laughing as I rushed in to see what was going on. Our 2 year old son had done a poo in the bath and it was floating around! My daughter had to jump out and get in the shower as did the boy, to finish getting washed!

I asked my daughter if she had really wished hard to have a shower like I had, as in The Secret, it says when you wish with intention you'll get what you want. I wanted to see if it had worked for her!

She got what she had wished for but I think she'd have preferred to have it without the poo! haha

Celebrate good time, C'mon! (sung in the tune of the song!)

It's a week to celebrate!!
This blog, Time Management Mum (Juggle Mum), has made the Top 100 British Parent Blogs
! Check out the announcement here! Thank you guys for following the blog and helping it to become popular.

AND... It's the big book launch this week for my first book, The Virtual Assistant Handbook! Wednesday 13th May is the 'big day' - learn more here.

And if that is not enough, my toddler sat up at the table without his high-chair for the first time today (aww, my baby is growing up!) and I managed to get my roots done this week at the hairdressers so now I look less 'Human League'. All I need now is for Will Smith to whilsk me off to dinner and some 'me time' on the couch to catch up on the 'Desparate Housewives' backlog that is building up on the Sky + and the week will be perfect! Oh, actually whilst I'm in fantasy land, I'll 'cosmic order' some shopping vouchers for new clothes, a personal chef to produce the family's meals this week so I don't have to, and a hot tub for my garden! (I've always wanted one of those!)

Good news makes us all smile, so why don't you lovely ladies share what you are celebrating this week. Don't be shy - the funner the better!! (and it doesn't have to be true - unfortunately I don't have Will Smith on speed dial!)

I'm a lady who 'launches' this week!

This week I've been in 'pre-launch' mode on my book. It will be on sale at Amazon from next week and so I've been busy promoting all the reviews that readers have uploaded onto Amazon, and creating web pages and Facebook pages about it!

The book is pictured below and you can read the Amazon reviews here.

One of the reader reviews was from an author called Jo Parfitt. I stopped by her blog, 'Expat Rollercoaster' today and noticed an interesting article about time management, so I thought I'd link to it here. Have a read - it's great to learn about new resources and ways of thinking on the subject!
